Activists of the Roma Women`s Center “Rromnjako Ilo” as the member organization of the Roma Women’s Network of Banat, together with activists of the Assication of Roma “Danica” Pancevo and the Association of Roma Novi Becej, marked the International Human Rights Day, on December 10th, 2017, and under the global campaign “16 Days of activism against violence against women”. Organized Street march and peaceful standing on the central square in the Center of Novi Becej had sent message „In the name of victims of sexual violence, in the name of girls and women who are raped“.
The march had sent the following messages:
No one likes to live in a fear
Silence after the call for help
Stop early marriages of Roma girls.
Human rights are also rights of women survivors of violence.
